BBBS Sisters recently visited Old Navy at La Frontera for a career-focused learning event, and lots of fun!
During their visit, the Little Sisters learned firsthand about what it’s like to work at Old Navy from multiple associates. The training manager did a mock “orientation” and walked the girls through the hiring process and day-to-day activities as an associate. Three of their employees then talked through their personal on-the-job experiences with the girls, including a high school student that works there part-time.
The matches also worked as teams during a scavenger hunt where they had to find best-selling items throughout the store.
The favorite part for most Littles was when they were able to choose outfits for the mannequins and dress them, which were displayed in the store after the event!
All in all it was a great lesson in job skills for the Little Sisters, and fun for all who attended.
